What size should social media posts be ?
Can someone please explain to me how social media plateforms handle image dimensions? Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook in particular.
I get the standard sizes for Facebook and Instagram, 1200×627 for Facebook and 1080×1080 for a square Instagram image (or 1200 x 630 according to some sources). I’m very confused by Twitter, depending on the sources, an in-stream image should be 1600×900 pixels in size, while others recommend 1200×675 pixels and 1024×512 pixels.
Also, if the platforms instantly resize the images as they are uploaded, what’s the point ?
